Is there an application that I can call with my telephone and have that phone call recorded as an MP3 for me to upload later?

The situation I’m looking to achieve is that I can have an idea or make an observation while I’m out and about and simply make a call to a server or to the cloud and just start talking while the recipient software records me to an MP3.

I’m a huge fan of podcasting yet find myself unable to for a couple of reasons:

• Most podcasts are much longer than the comments I would like to make.
• I’m not really all that keen on outlaying for a decent recording kit.
• I would like to be able to podcast while I’m mobile.
• I don’t want to have an iPhone or some other high end phone that would use a completely software approach to the task.
• I am a huge fan of the short, sharp pointedness of twitter.

I know that I could spend a few hours googling this but I’m really looking for something that others would be willing to recommend before starting out into the wilderness of the internet.It’s the kind of thing I’d be willing to pay for.
