Ease up, Websinthe! You said "The ACMA has already come out threatening 10 years jail to any Australian that publishes or even links to the blacklist in an effort to control the blunder." However the story you linked to in support of that does not include the words "links to", not does it appear to imply that. The only threat I've seen regarding links is the $11K per day fines if not taken down.

Nevertheless it would be interesting to see the precise legislation surrounding the blacklist.

Haven't they already tried to say it's not the real blacklist? Yet they'll be prosecuting people for it anyway? Does not compute?

I'd applaud any action, as then they'd have to admit it is the real one, and that'd just embarrass them even more.

Legally, I'd be interested in knowing what legal basis they have for arresting people for it…

To be honest, it wouldn't surprise me at all if they arrested someone over it. They're going down such a draconian, reactionary road already. "No, we're not going to be like China or Saudi Arabia!"…Sure we're not. The list, and ACMA's reaction to the leak, is just more demonstration of the direction Australia is headed.
